This introductory course explores how artificial intelligence can support scientific research in responsible and practical ways.
Across three modules, it examines how AI can be used to plan research, support literature reviews and evidence synthesis, shape research questions and study design, and assist with methods, ethics, data collection and analysis.
The course also looks at how AI can help share scientific findings with different audiences, including public and policy stakeholders.
By the end, you will understand the benefits, limitations and risks of AI in research, recognise where AI tools can be applied across the research lifecycle, and build a clearer foundation for using AI to generate knowledge and impact.
